Safe@Home — Is your child ready to stay home alone?
If your child isn’t quite ready to babysit but is interested in staying home alone, Safe@Home is a great first step! This class teaches kids how to stay safe when they are home alone for short periods of time. Indoor safety, outdoor safety, online safety, and personal safety topics will all be discussed.
They will learn what to do in situations like:
- Power outages
- Weather emergencies
- Minor injuries (like a nosebleed)
The minimum age for this course is 9 years old (or in the second half of 3rd grade) to 6th grade.
