Westside Auto Pros in Des Moines, IA, was opened in 1997 and is currently owned by Joe Jerkins. While he started in customer service for a local grocery store, he eventually found his home in the automotive industry. He chose to go into auto service because of the challenge. He believes the industry is constantly evolving, as no two days are ever the same. Joe understands the auto repair business in general has a bad reputation for being dishonest and not customer focused. At his shop, this couldn’t be further from the truth. He wants to be part of the change that restores transparency between auto repair shops and its customers.

Joe had no automotive background prior to joining the industry, and he personally does not fix cars or know how to do so. His strength is helping people by solving problems and always putting the customer first. Outside of the shop, Joe’s hobbies include spending time with his family, including his wife and two children who are his number one priority over everything else. In his spare time, he loves to fish, hunt, watch sports and be outdoors.

We continue to participate in many school organizations and pet rescue organizations, in order to give back to our community. At Westside Auto Pros in Des Moines, IA, our two most important goals are to take care of our customers and also take care of our employees. We hope to meet you in the near future!
