Summary
While working in a team environment you are responsible for greeting customers, developing rapport, establishing needs and closing the sale and handling basic sales transactions.
Day in the life as a Sales Team Member
  • Maneuver the sales floor to assist customers with their selections to beautify their home
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Apply concepts and skills taught from training
  • Maintain the integrity of company values
  • Continuous improvement in product knowledge, while providing excellent customer service
  • Work quickly to assist multiple customers in an expedient manner
  • Effectively and efficiently process orders utilizing the computer system
  • Professionally interact with customers, coworkers, managers and other departments
  • Working as a team to achieve departmental sales and goals
  • Work as a team to reach monthly furniture protection goals
  • Maintain a professional, positive manner and appearance at all times
  • Perform follow through initiatives for customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for helping to make our showroom clean and presentable to our customers
  • Self-driven to assist team to continuously increase customer base
  • Provides feedback to management regarding efficiencies, safety, productivity, etc.
  • Follow all operational and safety procedures
  • The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned
  • Responsible to carry fair share of workload with the rest of the team
Education/Work Experience
  • High School or GED
  • 1-2 years experience working with customers (retail, customer service, sales, all customer interaction)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Communicate effectively through written and oral correspondence
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Analytical skills to problem solve and offer alternative solutions to customers
  • Ability to organize work efficiently and multi-task
  • Ability to help multiple customers in an expedient manner both independently and by utilizing teamwork
