Catering Manager

Catering Manager – Sunflower Chef Catering Sunflower Chef Catering is seeking a motivated and experienced Catering Manager to join our award-winning team. This is a hands-on leadership role with a mix of weekday prep (primarily Monday through Friday) and event coverage, including evenings and weekends as needed. Compensation is based on experience, with some benefits included. --- Job Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of catering operations, including food preparation, event setup, service, and cleanup. Supervise, schedule, and support catering staff including chefs, prep cooks, and servers. Assist with managing inventory, ordering, and kitchen cleanliness. Coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure successful event execution. Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. --- Required Skills & Qualifications: Organizational & Time Management: Ability to coordinate multiple events and tasks under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable interacting with clients, staff, and suppliers in a professional and courteous manner. Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience leading, motivating, and developing a team. Food Service Knowledge: Familiarity with food preparation, safety protocols, and hygiene regulations. A culinary degree is a plus but not required. Certification: ServSafe certification required within 3 months of hire.
