Customer Service Utility Clerk (33867)

Attention Ames residents! A friendly and helpful person is needed as a Customer Service Utility Clerk for our client. This temporary role will assist customers with requests to start or stop utility services as well as field questions and requests. Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming requests
  • Respond to customer communication
  • Maintain files
  • Enter information
  • Prepare customer correspondence

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of administrative and/or customer service experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Impressive multitasking and 10 key skills
  • Able to handle upset customers and communicate effectively
  • Competent math skills

Hours:

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Monday – Friday
