Clinic Advocate Receptionist (33720)

One of our Des Moines healthcare clients is looking to add to their team in an administrative capacity. As a Clinic Advocate Receptionist, you will manage schedules, prepare documentation, and interact with patients and clients alike. Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming environment for patients and clients served
  • Manage accurate schedule and coordinate appointments daily
  • Communicate with referral sources and various service sites to coordinate care and provide a smooth transition for persons served
  • Record, file, and maintain current information pertinent to the operation of the department and maintain medical records of persons served
  • Verify insurance coverage with claims reps, case managers, and employers
  • Maintain medical records; provide the required documentation to the payor to assure payment
  • Accurately complete chart for billing using appropriate IT systems and software

Requirements:

  • HS diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 year or more of previous receptionist experience
  • Previous registration, billing, and/or healthcare terminology knowledge is helpful but not required
  • Strong computer skills, ability to use multiple applications/systems at the same time
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, according to HIPAA standards
  • COVID vaccination is required

Hours:

  • 8:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Monday – Friday
