Palmer Group is currently recruiting a Payroll & Billing Specialist to join our growing client’s accounting team. This position has a focus on the weekly distribution of payroll checks and processing customer invoices. Responsibilities:

  • Review approved employment forms for accuracy regarding payment of wages
  • Develop and enter payroll data while reviewing any discrepancies
  • Prepare and complete payroll checks
  • Maintain files for employees, payroll records, and billing records
  • Monitor unscheduled payroll transactions including voiding unused checks, issuing stop payment orders, and issuing replacement checks
  • Conduct various payroll adjustments
  • Analyze payroll, production records, and customer-related billing reports
  • Process billings
  • Create and submit invoices
  • Assist customers with billing questions, customer website entry, and various other issues

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field required, bachelor’s preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills

Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday
