Attention accounting professionals who are looking for a lighter level accounting position. We are recruiting candidates for our Des Moines area financial client’s open Accounting Coordinator role. Ideal candidates will have low-level accounting experience and understand the general accounting principles. In this position, you will perform various clerk functions involving general ledger accounts and other projects as needed. If you want to perform non-repetitive tasks while simultaneously expanding your experience, we welcome you to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month end journals
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Run various financial reports
  • Recommend process improvements
  • Assist with internal control testing

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in accounting preferred
  • 2+ years’ related accounting experience
  • Strong data entry and Excel formula skills required
  • Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines

Hours may vary: 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday
