Amanda has been an Account Executive at Palmer Group for more than two years and has been in recruitment for nearly 10. Amanda enjoys consulting with hiring managers and HR professionals on their staffing needs, employee retention, and sharing market data for the Des Moines employment scene. In her freetime, Amanda enjoys working out at Krave Gym, reading books and watching movies, and spending time with her two sons.

Aaron Colyer comes to Raccoon Valley Bank offering over 10+ years of banking experience. He specializes in Business Banking to provide the best service to his clients. He takes pride in serving his community and exploring options to best suit each business’ needs. Aaron is hands on with getting new and existing local businesses set up with their Banking and Cash Management needs, such as, but not limited to: ACH, Remote Deposit Capture, QuickBooks Integration, Positive Pay, Business Online Banking, and other day-to-day functions. He has a wealth of knowledge to help grow his clients in the banking world to help their success. As a volunteer for the Urbandale Republicans, I'm here to promote our core principles and purpose: "Advancing the principles of Liberty at the precinct level through the effective use of communication, organization, and influence". Some of the community service we offer include: register new residents as Urbandale Republicans, speak to groups about founding principles of Liberty, organize the Read the Declaration Ceremony at Lion's Park on Independence Day, organize the Republican Caucuses every two years, invite Urbandale Republican citizens to political events, encourage Urbandale Republican citizens to be informed voters.

Twenty years ago Ben Buenzow got his insurance license, and the rest is history…. Just kidding! A lot has happened in the last 20 years! Seventeen of those years Ben owned a captive insurance agency, while simultaneously becoming an expert in his field, and being recognized for his achievements along the way. Ben integrated himself into the Urbandale community serving on the Urbandale Chamber Board, and volunteering with the Urbandale Police Department. Six kids and a puppy later.  Ben realized the potential to help even more people! So in May 2021 Ben launched his own independent agency Buenzow Insurance Group.

Lisa has been the Projector Coordinator at Iowa Sign Company for over 6 years. She graduated from Grand View University in 2009 with a B.A. in Graphic Design/Journalism. Before Grand View, she had 9 years experience in Sales & Marketing in the hotel industry. She is married to Timothy Hanrahan whom they share two children, Cailin (age 22) and Adilia (age 11) and resides in Des Moines. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, exercising, traveling, photography and designing. To keep her creative juices flowing, she does freelance design and photography. 

KSH Design Studio creates personalized and custom gifts. I specialize in personalizing metal and glass items by mechanical etching. I love to do custom designs for our customers. I offer EMBROIDERY services as gifts and for small businesses. I use Heat Transfer Vinyl for any fabric item such as T-shirts, baby bodysuits, pillow covers and even lawn chairs. I enjoy working with small business owners and using their logos to create items they need for their business such as Logos on apparel (Polo shirts, Jackets, Aprons & Hats). All items are completed by a handmade process by KSH Design Studio. I only use the highest quality materials found in the industry. This provides you, the customer with the best product for the money available. I provide the best customer service possible. I answer all emails as quickly as possible, the same day 99% of the time. I want all your questions answered to your satisfaction! In 2020 I received TSB Certification through the SBA.

Christy, a seasoned business owner and certified business coach, boasts a proven track record in guiding businesses toward success. Her journey in the dynamic collision repair industry, where she grew up, worked, purchased, and ultimately sold her family-owned business, has equipped her with a vast wealth of knowledge. This knowledge serves as a daily resource that she generously shares with business owners and employees, positioning her as a valuable ambassador for the community.
As a resilient and forward-thinking entrepreneur, Christy has interwoven her story into the fabric of her community. Born and raised in Johnston and now a resident of Urbandale, she is not merely a bystander; she actively participates and catalyzes positive change. Her community involvement spans from supporting nonprofit organizations through major fundraising activities to actively participating in various community organizations.
 


 

I started Community Hand Up in an effort to bring fulfillment to my life. I raised 2 amazing kids by myself while living in poverty. I saw first hand how when we struggle there is not always someone there to give you a hand up. For me being able to make someone else's life a little bit easier is a round about way to make my life easier. There is nothing better than a hug or a thank you from someone who just wanted to feed/cloth their kids.  

I am really enjoying meeting business owners and feeling like a part of this community I have lived in off and on for almost 30 years.  

 

Curvin has joined Comparion Insurance Agency, a Liberty Mutual Company, in August 2022 as a Sales Representative offering Personal & Casualty Insurance as well as Life Insurance. Comparion Insurance Agency helps individuals transfer the risks during life's most uncertain moments. Curvin's goal is to understand his customers needs and align them with the proper products and coverage they deserve; knowing their property and families are protected against uncertainty in the event of a loss. 

Matt Nuetzman served on the Urbandale Chamber Board from 2012-2017 and was the 2016 Board Chair. In 2011, Matt helped launch the genYP Program and later served as genYP Chairperson, and has volunteered and led many Chamber programs since first joining in 2009. Matt is a Strategic Business Consultant at Paychex HR, a Human Resources services provider which the Urbandale Chamber offers a PEO Partner Program with. Matt is also a member of the Business Record's Forty Under 40 (2012), and he and his wife Sheena live in Urbandale with their 2 children.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Operations from Iowa State University. I have many years' experience working on senior management teams of companies to help make them more profitable and stronger companies. This is my passion and I will use it to serve you as a connector & Total Resource Campaign

Jayden has been serving as a financial advisor for 6+ years leading families across the Midwest to grow and protect what they treasure most. He went to the University of Northern Iowa double majoring in Finance and Real Estate with an emphasis in Personal Wealth Management. He graduated and went on to build his practice through Northwestern Mutual for five years obtaining the CFP and RICP designations in order to serve his clients at higher level. In order to expand the scope of work he provides and allow true fiduciary guidance, he took his practice independent with RockWay Wealth Partners. He is excited to continue to grow his impact on the businesses and families in the community. You'll find him bouldering at Climb Iowa, hiking, or out in the community finding ways to connect great people to each other.
