Dr. Courtney Buhrow Dr. Courtney is a physical therapist and the owner of Revive Physical Therapy and Wellness. She graduated from Des Moines University in 2018 with her doctorate in physical therapy. She then went on to complete two more certifications to become a specialist in pelvic floor and women's health. Dr. Courtney is also certified in Perimenopause/Menopause Functional Wellness Coaching. Dr. Courtney started Revive PT & Wellness in January 2022 to follow her passion to help women with their health and wellness. Recognizing the universal lack of education and understanding of the female body, Dr. Courtney has been on a relentless mission to inspire and empower women to prioritize their health and understand their bodies. She believes that education and making life-style changes are the most powerful tools for better overall health and wellness. Through her work as pelvic floor specialist and as a perimenopause coach, she has helped hundreds of women prepare for labor & delivery, recover in postpartum, and navigate the changes that womanhood brings to the body. From this innovative work, she has developed her coaching program to help women understand the different systems in their bodies affecting their health, while also coaching and guiding them to make appropriate changes to their lifestyle. Dr. Courtney isn't just a physical therapist and coach; she is also an advocate for women's and maternal health. She works alongside Healthy Birth Day, Inc. to bring awareness to the state of Iowa for improved maternal health care, especially pelvic floor therapy accessibility to all women during both the prenatal and postpartum period. When she isn't working, you can find her spending time with her husband and two young kids. You will also find her working out, spending an evening on the golf course, or traveling. She is an avid sports fan and especially loves watching the Iowa Women's Basketball team. When she isn't working, you can find her spending time with her husband and two kids. Brandon Miller
In 1989 I walked into the Plaza Lanes Bowling Alley lower level and did my very first Taekwondo class with Lance Farrell who owned the school at the time. I trained on and off with my Uncle Jamie who was often my ride to and from classes. Over the next ten years I earned my first and second degree Black Belts, was invited to instruct classes, participated in tournaments and performed in various public events in a demonstration team. After graduating from Lincoln High School I accepted a position as a full time instructor. This has been it for me until this past year 2023 when I was able to secure the purchase of the business. Now, working through the role of owner as my first instructor did decades ago I am committed to enriching our community through teaching the core principles of Taekwondo, fitness and overall wellness. We will continue to build confident, courageous and kind members of all ages. |

Josh Curry I started Taekwondo in 1998 after attending a Kids Fest event where my Mom filled out a drawing slip to win me a free class and uniform. Through the years I trained as a Little Dragon then as a Junior in the Farrell's Program, and eventually tested to Black Belt in 2003. After that I moved on to the Leadership Team, trained as a part time instructor and worked the front desk. Upon graduation from Hoover High School I studied personal training through NASM, ISSA and recently nutrition through Precision Nutrition. In 2023 I purchased the Farrell's Martial Art's business in Urbandale and expanded to offering more options for fitness, wellness and overall community development. We do this by building confident, courageous and kind members of all ages. |
