Description
KEY In Des Moines | Mental Health in the Workplace
KEY in Des Moines stands for Keeping Educated Youth in Des Moines. It is a program connecting employers with area colleges and universities for workforce attraction. Every other month the group hosts free educational sessions. KEY in Des Moines is a division of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce.
This month our focus is on Mental Health in the Workplace with a panel of professionals working in this space to discuss what a company can do to support their employees and what companies who do are getting back in return, such as employee retention, increased productivity and employee longevity. They will define common mental health disorders, the barriers that cause people to not reach out, treatments and how to recognize mental health issues as well as solutions for employers to break down those barriers and the benefits.
