Emotional Intelligence with Jason Kiesau, Oasis
This workshop series is designed to provide young professionals with information to excel in their professional and civic endeavors. The series includes 4 different workshop classes (listed below). Participants will be introduced to new tools to bolster their career, interact with leaders and be challenged as future leaders.
Emotional Intelligence is today’s survival of the fittest. Those who can adapt to people and situations as needed will achieve greater success and enjoy a higher quality of life. Research shows that each of us has a dominant pattern of behavior (DPB), each with its own set of characteristics, security and confidence needs, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities for growth and stress triggers. Understanding our own DPB will enhance our emotional intelligence; allowing us greater control over our actions and reactions. Understanding the DPB of others will enhance our social intelligence; giving us greater objectivity, empathy, and appreciation with others. Enhancing our emotional and social intelligence allows us to adapt to people and situations as needed; leading to greater success for everyone involved.
Cost: $25/workshop for genYP Members
$40/workshop for non genYP Members
All workshops will take place from 8:00 am-9:30 am in the RODAN Board Room at the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce (2830 100th Street, Ste 110, Urbandale).

Jason has been studying personal, professional and leadership development for over 17 years. His roles as a business coach, business owner, diversity trainer and leadership and talent development manager have given him unique experiences and understanding of people and business. Today he travels across the United States working with leaders and managers; helping them enhance their emotional, social and leadership intelligence.
