This month's Central Iowa Business Academy is a Leadership session. The Leadership track of this series focuses on topics relevant to those who work in a team-oriented setting, whether that be entry level or intermediate. The topics presented will help individuals build confidence to become better employees, team members, and business people. 

Jennifer Simpson will present: THE S'MARRIAGE OF S'MARKETING departments requires a commitment to collaboration and communication unlike any other union within your organization. What happens when you are at odds on an approach, or someone becomes defensive of a decision, or you are saying the same thing just using different words?  Just like a marriage, it takes two to tango and both parties have to compromise on occasion for there to be a lasting partnership. Learn about their unique roles and goals and how to communicate, collaborate and align these similar yet very distinct departments. 
 

Jennifer Simpson Simpson Sales Solutions Jennifer is a wife, mother, 20-year quota crushing sales leader, sales consultant, coach, and EmpowerMentor with plenty of been-there-done-that and a lets-not-do-that-again life experience to share. Jennifer's extensive media and marketing experience helps emerging entrepreneurs, corporate gamechangers, and sales leaders remove revenue roadblocks, cut sales sludge, and mitigate marketing misfires getting in the way of winning.    Her EmpowerMentor mission helps overwhelmed entrepreneurs, exhausted executives, and stressed sales producers uncover and unleash their natural sales superpowers using a combination of tactical training, practical application, and emotional support.   One of Jennifer’s specialties is in "thinking like a client" and helping clients reverse engineer their sales approach with their customer's experience in mind.  Jennifer is particularly passionate about the discovery process and the questions it takes to get a prospect to self-identify their need for your product / service vs. pitching and praying proposals will close.   Her proprietary sales curriculum has been adopted into several tech accelerator programs including the Iowa Startup Accelerator and Techstars Iowa. Each organization has their own unique sales fingerprint, so at the core of her consulting approach is a desire to dig deep to identify what is limiting sales success then building a plan to propel sales forward faster.
