DESCRIPTION:The Polk County Board of Supervisors is embarking on a strategic planning process for Polk county. Starting in January\, there will be a series of community meetings and discovery sessions held in a variety of venues across our community and the Urbandale Chamber has been selected as host for a session.\n\n\n\nThe strategic planning process will bring together county leaders\, residents\, community organizations\, local businesses\, and subject-matter experts to create a shared vision for the future of Polk County. The project will assess current needs\, anticipate future challenges\, and identify key priorities that will inform county policy\, budgeting\, and long-term investments.\n\n\n\nThe strategic plan is meant to set the vision and direction for the next ten years\, and incorporating a range of perspectives from throughout the communities spread throughout Polk County. The plan will include Strategies\,\n\nGoals\, and Objectives to help elevate the work being done on high-impact areas including:\n\n  Public Health and Human Services\n\n  Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness\n\n  Economic Development and Workforce Readiness\n\n  Infrastructure and Sustainability\n\n  Equity and Community Well-being\n\n  Government Transparency and Accountability\n\n  Quality of Life Enhancements\n\n\n\nAttendance is limited and registration is required.
