SUMMARY:Chamber Day at Holiday Lake
DESCRIPTION:The Chamber has reserved the Community Center at Holiday Lake\, a private lake located One Hour East of Des Moines\, Eight-miles North of the Brooklyn\, Iowa exit off of Interstate 80.  \n\n\n\nBoth Tiffany Menke and Rhonda Mock are your hosts for the day. This is a pot-luck so bring some food to share. Rhonda & Tom are smoking Beef Brisket. Tiffany & Jonathan will provide pulled pork. The Chamber will provide hot dogs/buns. \n\n\n\nAll the shared food will be in the community center where there is a kitchen\, tables and air conditioning. PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT YOU PLAN TO BRING SO WE CAN DIVERSIFY THE OFFERINGS. This also gives us a place in case it does rain for some indoor fun. Rain or shine\, this is the day!\n\nBring your families and enjoy the beach complete with swimming platforms. We will have a couple of tents for shade on the beach.  The community center has private restrooms available for changing or there is a restroom and shower facilities at the beach.\n\nThe lake has three fishing holes or kids can just can fish off of the dam by the beach.\n\nTiffany and Jonathan have a boat and a jet ski to bring folks to one of the coves where they will have a very large\, multi-person float to use as a base when in the cove. The jet ski can shuttle people back and forth to the beach.\n\nRhonda\, Tom\, Tiffany and Jonathan have golf carts to give golf cart tours around the lake or to shuttle people around.\n\n \n\nIF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT A WEEKEND\n\nIf you want to enjoy a weekend at the lake\, you are invited! The lake has a campground open to anyone who knows a lake owner (and you all know two!). The cost is just $15 per night and the campground has a new restroom/shower facility with electrical hookups for camp sites. Bring a camper or bring a tent.\n\n\n\nRhonda & Tom will have one spot on her lot for a full camper hookup and room for tents. Tiffany and Jonathan have room on their lot for tents. (Please let us know if you are coming Friday night)\n\n\n\nWHAT WE NEED....\n\nPLEASE RSVP for the total number of people coming Saturday so we can plan on having enough main course food and let us know what side you would like to bring.  This is also BYOB event.  Even if you used a different platform or replied to an email - please use this to RSVP.
