DESCRIPTION:The Urbandale Chamber has made some changes to the Candidate Forum in an effort to attract more members and the general public to the event. It is critical our members and community members have the information they need so they can make an informed decision when voting. The forum is open to the public and there is no cost to attend. Lunch can be brought from home or for anyone interested\, a sack lunch can be ordered for a small fee. \n\n\n\nThis year\, the forum focuses on Senate District 20\, House District 40 and the Polk County Supervisor race.  Moderated by E.J. Giovannetti\, the forum will be held both in person and virtually.  All candidates have been invited.   \n\nSenate District 20 Race: \n\n   \n\n(R) Brad Zaun\, Incumbent\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCandidate Rhonda Martin (D)  - Invited\, but unable to participate:\n\nHouse District 40 Race:\n\n\n\n\n\n(D) John Forbes\, Incumbent\n\n\n\n\n\n(R) Jon Coen\n\nPolk County Supervisor\n\n   \n\n(R) Robert Brownell\, Incumbent\n\n\n\n\n\n(D) Betty Devine\n\n \n\nWe are only taking questions in advance. \n\nPlease submit questions to Tiffany Menke at tmenke@urbandalechamber.com. \n\nWe will ask candidates as many questions as possible.\n\nQuestions must be submitted by Friday\, October 9th at Noon. \n\n\n\nA special thank you to our friends at Entrical who will monitoring in person attendee temperatures upon entry into the building with their state-of-the-art\, FDA approved thermal equipment.  Attendees must have a temperature of less than 100.4.  Masks are recommended and social distancing is required.
