Due to continued growth, Palmer Group is working with a local Des Moines company in their effort to add a Payroll Coordinator to their team. Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll process and preparation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records
  • Process payroll related changes including insurance coverage, deductions, job titles, and department transfers
  • Administer benefits and act as resource for benefit questions
  • Maintain employee training requirements in adherence to state and federal law
  • Ensure employee handbook is up-to-date and compliant
  • Provide support for other office administrative duties and/or operational tasks
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience processing payroll preferred
  • 1+ years of experience working in human resources preferred
  • Microsoft Office product knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to jump in and help with a variety of tasks

Hours May Vary: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday
